What is the different of benefits between Library Individual Member and MII Individual Member?

Both received the same library services privileges – refer to Knowledge Management section. However Library Members do not receive other benefits provided by MII such as discount for conferences/trainings or free INSURANCE magazine.

I have registered as MII Members students. Do I have to sign up as library member?

All MII Members are welcomed to Library Services and may use most of the facilities provided complimentary. However, if you would like to apply for borrowing service please proceed to make payment of library deposit (RM150). This deposit is refundable after one year and once refunded; the borrowing service entitlement will be revoke. *MII Students are not automatically eligible to borrow library items.

How soon can I use my borrowing entitlement?

You can proceed to borrow books once you received your original receipt of payment and show it to the librarian in charge even though you have not receive membership card yet.

I am a student / staff from Library Member – Corporate / MII Institutional Member, how can I identify myself since I don’t have individual membership card?

You can show your staff ID card or medical card to identify yourself– refer to Knowledge Management section for library membership benefits.

How to borrow book if I could not go to Library Services?

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to check the availability of the items you would like to borrow and reserve them. You can borrow via: Representative: Inform librarian in advance of the representative details such as name and expected arrival time and date. Representative must show letter from member authorizing the representative to collect the reserved library items on behalf of the members. Go to ‘www.miielibrary.com – Download’ for sample letters. I have borrowed book from Library Services but could not return it back on time. What should I do?

Book drop: You can drop the book in the Book Drop slot outside Knowledge Management unit if you arrive at MII City Centre after KM’s operation hour.
Representative: Inform librarian in advance of the representative details such as name and expected arrival time and date.
Courier: You can send to us via courier service. 

I am an MII Member, how to access online databases and ebooks provided by Knowledge Management?

Please login to MII Digital Library with your login ID to download or access online databases and ebooks. Login/Register via iLMS to get username and password online.  For walk in registration, please fill in Library Membership form and submit with payment receipt to KM unit for further action. However, you can still view information about title, subject, etc without login using MII Visualizer search box at MII Knowledge Management Official Website.

How to request for information and access to the collection at Library Services?

Please submit completed InfoSEEK form at least a week before your visit. We will reply to you as soon as possible. Please note that our information searching service is limited to insurance and MII related information only -refer to Knowledge Management section for more information.

I am not a member, how to view library collection (books, AVs, eBooks, e-articles, etc.)?
