This webinar will teach key communication and cognitive skills to enable attendees to gather relevant information in an efficient and effective manner, to critically analyse that information and create understanding to make sound and logical decisions. It will also teach the skill of how to properly present and contextualise information when seeking authority/approval from seniors or presenting information to others during, for example, meetings or in negotiations. Participants will learn how to use INSURE, a critical thinking and decision-making model, designed by Jeff Heasman specifically for the global insurance industry and used by insurance professionals throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.

The INSURE critical thinking and decision-making model has been proven to:
➢ Increase confidence in approaching difficult or novel situations.
➢ improve internal relationships within teams through being able to evidence thought processes in meetings/emails.
➢ improve external relationships through being able to critically think through requests made by others and provide a logical and reasoned response.
➢ improve mental well-being as a result of not overthinking and procrastinating.
➢ lead to greater career prospects by being able to evidence independent thinking and decision-making capabilities.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
➢ identify the importance of critical thinking and its impact on the decision-making process
➢ explain the typical barriers to critical thinking and how to overcome them
➢ implement a strategy through using the INSURE model to think more critically, make better decisions and feel more confident
