Regardless of your industry or role, fluency in the language of data analytics will allow you to contribute to data driven decision making. This workshop will put you in the driver’s seat to understand, analyze, and interpret data so you too can join the data conversation.
In this hands-on introductory workshop, you’ll learn to ask the right questions of your data, while learning basic analytic functionality in Google Sheets. Your newfound data analytic skills will be applied to real-world datasets, allowing you to develop recommendations based on your findings.

Premkumar Chandrashegaran
Data Instructor/Teaching Assistant, General Assembly Malaysia and Lead Data Scientist, Omnilytics
Premkumar Chandrashegaran is a Data Instructor/Teaching Assistant at General Assembly Malaysia. He is an experienced data science practitioner and trainer with over 10 years of experience in data and analytics. He is currently the Lead Data Scientist at Omnilytics where he derives data-driven insights, turning them into actionable data to transform the way retailers operate.
Prem’s experience lies in planning, executing and deploying AI models for maintenance, anomaly and fraud detection, petrophysics, econometrics, and text analytics by utilizing the latest technologies focusing on Data Science and AI.
Prior to Omnilytics, Prem has held roles related to the Oil and Gas industry at Shell, Schlumberger, Ranhill Worley Parsons, Cloud IOT. In the Education industry, he has held roles at Heriot-Watt University, UCSI University, Udacity, and The Center of Applied Data Science.
Prem holds a MSc in Petroleum Engineering, Statistical Analysis and Numerical Simulation from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics) from Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
