For Episode 9, we invite Lim Horng Cherng, an Actuarial Graduate and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US). He serves as a council member of the Society of Actuaries (Malaysia), responsible for the education portfolio, and is also a member of Taylor’s Business School Industry Advisory Panel.
Horng Cherng joined the insurance industry in 2011 as an actuarial analyst and has, since then, accumulated knowledge and experience in various area of actuarial function such as valuation of non- life insurance liabilities, ratemaking, stress test, and capital modelling.
Currently, Horng Cherng is the Head of Actuarial at Allianz General . He provides advice and input to the management, in areas of portfolio management, reinsurance analysis, and strategic projects.
