The theme of today’s event, “Leveraging on digital-empowered learning during challenging times” bodes
well with the changes and developments that have taken place in the country. Since the COVID-19 pandemic,
digital has become central to every interaction, forcing companies to adopt the change and quickly adjusting
themselves to the crisis by leveraging digital opportunities, to engage and build closer ties with their customers.
To build a successful career, you need to leverage and adopt digital technologies to remain
competitive and to adapt to the evolving needs in today’s working environment. I strongly urge you to
upgrade your skills and expand your digital knowledge. Always remember that learning has no
boundaries; in fact, it is a life-long journey.
As a progressive industry, we are committed to driving innovation and keeping pace with the
rapid advances in digital technology to stay competitive. Through digital innovation, we continue to
champion our national agenda in educating Malaysians on the importance of life insurance
protection and building a workforce that is responsive to the insurance needs of the rakyat. As
you embark on your career path in insurance, I would like to emphasise on the
important role that we play in the lives of the people. Insurance protection is
essential to peoples’ lives. During their difficult moments, our purpose and
values matter a lot to them. Hence, we need to go the extra mile to make a huge
difference in their lives. Insurance careers offer virtually limitless opportunities to
earn, learn and make lasting contributions to your community every day, and I humbly
request all of you to contribute to this.
