On behalf of Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM), I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to MII for driving a robust industry through upskilling and re-skilling of talents, thus creating a strong talent pool of knowledge workers among Malaysians particularly for the general insurance industry. MII has been playing a pivotal role in capacity building and ensuring a continuous supply of talents for the industry. As our country moves towards recovery and restoration from the impact of the global pandemic, we have been empowered by digital learning that has bridged the gaps, making mobile and continuous learning possible. Today, we have learnt that learning can never be doused even amidst challenges, instead the more challenging the more innovative learning becomes – which is an inspiring prospect for all of us. This only goes to show that challenges only make us stronger. Therefore, let this be a lesson in life for us which is to never stop learning even during tough times.
Learning is never complete without capable and committed educators and for that, I commend MII’s excellent team of lecturers who have demonstrated tireless dedication in ensuring the delivery of knowledge has not been compromised amidst challenges.
I would like to say thank you to all the lecturers who have delivered on their mandate and risen above and beyond the call of duty to deliver competent and skilful talents that can fuel Malaysia’s insurance industry to provide world-class solutions and services.
To all our graduates, this is only the beginning – you have so much more to achieve and today’s graduation demonstrates your capabilities to achieve greater heights. So do not limit yourselves, and harness the opportunities for development and progress awaiting you. There is a sea of opportunities out there and the possibilities are limitless.
I wish you an exciting journey, may all your future efforts come to fruition and all the best in your future undertakings. We would strongly encourage you not to be contented with your achievements today but to continually upgrade yourself professionally with the various programmes offered and ultimately attaining the coveted Fellowship status of MII.
